Well, the good news is Carter does not need a new button at the moment, probably in about another 4-6 months. The swelling of the area is due to Carter's increased mobility and rolling around on the floor putting pressure on the area. We just have to watch for any infections and go from there.
Carter is trying to get up on all fours which is wonderful and we do continue to see him improving daily. Riley is my go getter still and is into everything and figuring out how things work.
